About Us
Meet the CEO
T.J. Chester was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. She is an urban fiction author and screenwriter who has earned her Bachelor's degree at Indiana University Northwest and her Master of Fine Arts degree at Full Sail University. She is also the author of the Running with Wolves three-part series, Wallflower 1 & 2 and Effie. TJ is currently directing her first feature film "Running With Wolves", which is inspired by her book series, and a television series, 219, a crossover/spinoff production.

Based in Gary, Indiana, The New Black Entertainment, LLC is on a mission to produce and market memorable award winning film and television productions that will captivate audiences worldwide. Our company is a strong believer in the power of films and the images they convey. We embrace topics ranging from faith, family, and politics while addressing cultural, social and racial issues.

The vision of our company is focused on creating a solid body of work that will last a lifetime. We are an individual brand intending on producing products on a yearly basis that are geared for theater and television audiences. Through each of our productions we have the opportunity to work with star talent, break in new faces and give employment to many skilled workers in our industry.
